Requirements

You must be pursuing a degree in one of these fields:

  • Business
  • Computer Science
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Engineering
  • Secondary Education
  • Technology (mechanical or electrical engineering)

You must also:

  • have a minimum GPA of 2.80 on a 4.00 scale
  • have completed your freshman year at a community college
  • plan to continue your education at a four-year institution.

Sponsored by State of Michigan’s King-Chavez-Parks Initiative, the intent of this program is to increase the number of academically or economically disadvantaged students and/or from those who would otherwise not adequately be represented in the student population, who are seeking careers in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Secondary Education, or Technology.
